Sorfboard information
The surfboards for surfing have no foot straps compared to windsurfing boards.
For improved stability on the wet surface there are several surwaxes that are applied to the footprint of the surfboard. With light pressure and circular movements you can rub the wax on the surface to make it more adhesive.
Depending on the water temperature, there are the matching wax varieties with the names Cold, Cool, Warm and Tropic.
For surfing there are basically two different types of boards:
The longboard and the shortboard
Each board has special properties related to lift, stability, maneuverability and speed.
From a length of 8 feet, which is about 2.44 meters, there is talk of a long board. Anything shorter than 8 feet belongs to the group Short Board, Fun Board and Malibu.
